Disagreements are expected
- No two people agree on everything - that’s true within the 3L Movement too.
- We welcome all people who have a preference for peace, and an understanding that peace requires both the absence of aggression and the presence of kindness (or general decency towards others).
- The 3L Movement tolerates and welcomes different good-faith and reasonable approaches to all these issues.
- If a person voluntarily signs the 3L Pledge in good faith, that person is a valued member of the 3L Movement, even if their views do not comport with every aspect of how the 3L Philosophy is applied.
United by tolerance of differences
- We must expect and tolerate disagreements on complex issues related to the 3L Philosophy. We must avoid creating divisions and factions within the 3L Movement, as this would not be conducive to fulfilling our overarching goal of achieving global peace.
- We should tolerate different reasonable and good-faith approaches to complex issues. Let’s instead focus on the critically important areas of agreement that unite us (like care for our loved ones and the betterment of humanity)
