The Live and Let Live Global Peace Movement

WHAT: The Movement affirms each person’s freedom to live, to the extent they allow others that same right.
WHY: Freedom is essential for peace; forced morality is self-contradictory.
- Peaceful coexistence requires rules that allow each of us to live our lives without interfering with the equal rights of other competent adults to live theirs. Morality is essential for harmony but cannot be imposed. These key insights lay the foundation for an urgently needed practical path to peace.
HOW: The Movement’s strategy is Awareness, Belonging and Change (ABC).
- While some others seek civilisation on Mars, our goal is peace on Earth. Wherever one stands, all laws in that place must reflect at least a reasonable construction and fair enforcement of the Live and Let Live Principle. Peace also requires voluntary moral excellence, which is why we adopt the Aspirational Values.
- Society is shaped by the stories we share and believe together. We must galvanise a critical mass by spreading awareness of the simple yet profound consequences the 3L Philosophy.

The Two Principles of the Live and Let Live Philosophy

The Live and Let Live Principle (also known as the Legal Principle): all acts of aggressing must be outlawed, applying equally to every individual, group, corporation and government.
- How is “Aggressing” defined?
Freedom alone does not ensure peace. We should also aspire to treat each other excellently, by adopting the Aspirational Values.

Vision and Mission

Vision: For all to live in peace.
Mission: To inspire people to adopt and promote the Live and Let Live Principle (’don’t aggress’) as a foundation for all law, and Live and Let Live’s Aspirational Values (’be an excellent human’) as a means to reach their full potential.
